[Editing] IronKeep Studios: First Gothic 1 patch released 08.09.2009 um 10:20 As you might have known, the modteam IronKeep Studios has been working some time ago, on a series of unofficial patches for Gothic 2 Night of the Raven. Those patches contain both bugfixes as well as new content. Now, we would like to announce the first Community patch for Gothic 1. Due to multiple requests from the community and the importance of the matter, this first release will be an Open Beta. This means that we want your feedback before the final version is ready. The current Release Candidate already contains a series of bugfixes for some classical problems, but more will be added in the near future. [Off Topic] Gothic - The Film 27.03.2007 um 01:36 A few months ago, dedicated fans of the Gothic series sat down and compiled a feature length film of the very first Gothic game made of ingame videos and with the dialogue spoken while playing the game. They managed to cover the entire plot of the game and with the help of the actors who spoke the characters as well as Piranha Bytes and the community of «World of Gothic», the film was released in September 2006 shortly before the release of Gothic 3. The film was an instant success with the fans and our international members didn't want to miss out on the fun. One Canadian user in particular couldn't sit idly by and took it upon himself to make an English version of the film. He shortened it a bit but used the original voices in creating a 100mins rendering of «Gothic - The Film». Enjoy and spread the word. It is curently hosted at the Piranha Bytes web portal and it is available for download. The installer has 227 Mb and besides that you can also see a new redesigned logo. [Off Topic] Gothic - The Movie 14.01.2006 um 18:27 T.M.T Production, well-known from their further Gothic-machinima like Battle of Laran or Independence War, has started a new project. Piranha Bytes supported the idea co-working on the scripts and the original (german) speech-files. The important thing in this movie is that the community can decide which story line the movie has. For this is a thread in our board where you can discuss the story of the next episode, wich T.M.T with support from Piranha Bytes produce. After 5 weeks of hard work the trailer is ready. The download is available in high quality and contains only (german) original speech samples. If you want to discuss about the project, you are welcome to do so in our forum. [Off Topic] New player kit for Gothic I 14.01.2006 um 18:17 Nico Bendlin aka NicoDE has published an improved player kit (GothicStarter) for Gothic I modifications. The new starter is mainly based on parts of the GothicStarter 2.6 from the addon and adopts most of it's advantages. Following improvements were included: - There is no more the possibility to activate modding functions if you don't want to(separate .exe for Modder) - Automatic check if the version of Gothic is 1.08h or higher - Displaying errors that occur if too many mods are installed were removed (The window can be resized and has scrolling function) - external links on the Gothic.exe are redirected to the starter - Uninstall function for the playerkit available - Selfmade icons from the modding teams are supported - Supports all known official Gothic versions (except the Chinese one) If you have installed the player kit 1.08k you don't have install the new starter as long you don't have problems with the old one. [Off Topic] Gothic UluMulu Song 18.12.2005 um 23:52 A funny song made by Christoph Chillig is available in the download section. The song has well known sounds from Gothic 1 and has nice effects in the background taken from the game as well.
