[Gothic 3] Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods: first screenshots 19.06.2008 um 14:22 JoWood have released the first screenshots to the forthcoming Gothic 3 Add-On, Forsaken Gods. According to JoWood, we can expect "a vivid world, intoxicating new quests and the gloomy Gothic atmosphere", that will "invite fans to spend hours playing this exciting new chapter in the epic and popular RPG series." The screenshots bear a striking resemblance to G3, which contradicts some of the previous hints at an entirely new engine being used for the add-on, which is rumoured to be stand-alone. [Gothic 4] Interview with EDL @ Gothicz.net 31.05.2008 um 10:56 Gothicz.net published an interview with EDL, Creative Writer and Community Manager for Gothic 4 from Spellbound. A lot of things where adressed. For example where Spellbound gets the inspiration for the game and how a typical day at Spellbound looks like, some words about the magic barrier, the dragons and orcs in G4, the involvement of Spellbound regarding the G3-AddOn and a lot of other things. [Gothic 3] Gothic 3 Artbook on Sale 16.05.2008 um 14:32 The hardcover art book to Gothic 3 is now on sale and considerably reduced in price. Over almost 200 richly illustrated pages containing some never before published artwooks about the entire Gothic series, it is a feast for any Gothic fan regardless of language background. Although the book is printed in German, this shouldn't stop you from enjoying its content - the language of art is universal. ;) Compared to the artbook which came together with the Gothic 3 Collector's Edition, this hardcover version features twice the content and is twice its size. [Gothic 3] gamona.de Interview with JoWooD 16.04.2008 um 16:48 Following Monday's announcement regarding an add-on for Gothic 3 called "Forsaken Gods", gamona.de directed some questions at JoWooD. As announced, the add-on should bring answers to some unresolved questions and prepare the transition to Gothic 4, which is in development also. JoWooD's latest press announcement itself leaves rather important questions unanswered. What does the add-on do? Will it finally fix Gothic 3? Who is the developer? The gamona.de interview with JoWooD tries to clear the surrounding mist a little. The name of the developer remains a secret for the time being and might be lifted within the next few weeks. Both the add-on and the future Gothic 4 will be developed simultaneously, though most probably not by the same studio. The add-on is expected to secure a seamless transition from Gothic 3 to Gothic 4. It's also possible «Forsaken Gods» might be released as "stand alone" add-on. It already is in development since several month and is named “Gothic 3 - Forsaken Gods”. At the moment nothing is known about the story, but thematically the title goes nicely with it, said CrazyIvan, JoWooDs Community Manager. From the press release: “Gothic 3 – Forsaken Gods will answer many open questions and guarantee a seamless step to Gothic 4. Once more you take on the role of the nameless Hero and again you have to raise your sword in anger to save the world of Gothic. [Official] Spellbound Community Manager 03.04.2008 um 23:27 Since yesterday a community manager, directly from the Spellbound team, takes care for the Gothic fans. His name is Dietrich Limper, alias EDL and his work experience includes years of work in the RPG sector. For Spellbound he works as creative writer and from now on he will additionally do the community work. Further details can be found in EDLs introduction thread, linked below. As well you can ask the questions you might have regarding Gothic 4. Once a week they will be answered, as far as currently possible. Furthermore EDL announced the release of news and material regarding Gothic 4 over the next weeks and month. We are curious about it and will keep you informed.
