Quest / Author Solution
001 The Eye of Innos

by El Libertador

You start this quest at the beginning at Xardas, who sends you to the leader of the paladins, Lord Hagen, in the city of Khorinis. To get to him, you first have to join one of the three guilds, i.e. the militia, the mercenaries or the fire mages. Instead of giving you the Eye of Innos, Lord Hagen first wants you to go to the Valley of Mines to get proof of the arrival of the dragons. After completing a quest (Diggers and ore) for Garond, the chief commander of the castle in the Valley of Mines, he gives you a letter confirming the threat by the dragons. Return with this letter to Lord Hagen, who tells you that the Eye of Innos is in the monastery of the fire mages.
But Pyrokar, the highest fire magician, has bad news: The novice Pedro has become a traitor and has stolen the Eye. It is your task to get it back.

First of all jump down from the monastery bridge into the water. Then swim along the river till you reach a place where you can leave the water. If you can see a tramp close by, you are right. Follow the way up the hill, pass over a small bridge and proceed further on this way. Finally you will come to a lake where you take the way that leads to the left. On the plateau that you reach (a hunter named Grimbald can be found there) turn left and head down, passing the two bandits. The way ends up in a gloomy site with many plants and trees. To the right you should already see a stone circle and some seekers performing a ritual. One of the seekers will tell you that they have destroyed the Eye of Innos. Take the Eye, which lies on the sacrificial altar in the centre of the stone circle, and go back to the monastery. Note: It is not necessary to kill the seekers, do it only when you feel strong enough.

Pyrokar tells you that the Seekers have desecrated the circle of the sun and sends you to Vatras, who should know what to do.

He instructs you to see a blacksmith who can repair the Eye, and wants to perform a ritual of reversal at the circle of the sun together with Xardas and Pyrokar to restore the Eye.

Go back to Pyrokar and tell him about the ritual. He will first refuse to participate because he does not trust Xardas. Talk to Xardas about Pyrokar. He gives you a key to a chest that is in farmer Sekob's house. You should also ask Xardas to go to the circle of thes. But he will only leave for the ritual when you have advanced to a higher rank in your guild, that means you must be a Paladin / a Dragon Hunter / a Magician of fire instead of a Militia / a Mercenary / a Novice. To become a paladin or dragon hunter, you must first free Bennet from jail (quest Bennet is in the slammer). Then speak to Lord Hagen / Bennet. (A novice already becomes a fire mage in the first chapter, so you don't have to do anything in that case. Nevertheless Bennet must be freed as you need him to repair the Eye.) Return to Xardas and send him to the ritual.

Now go to Sekob's house, which has been occupied by several seekers. Kill them and take a book titled "The Halls of Irdorath" out of the chest. Then you should go to Onar's farm and ask Bennet to repair the Eye of Innos. Sleep one night and retrieve the Eye.

Now you can hand over the book to Pyrokar, who will then leave for the ritual. Finally get three plants of swampweed and head for the circle of the sun. Talk to Vatras to start the ritual and retrieve the restored Eye of Innos. Pyrokar will teach you how to charge the Eye of Innos and the quest is complete.
002 Wanted Notes and Bandits

by El Libertador

If you are coming from Xardas' Tower in the first act and choose the direct way to the city, you will meet a bandit. After peppering him with questions he'll give you the quest. If you give ten gold to him he'll tell you the name (Dexter) of the man looking for the hero. When you arrive in Khorinis you have to ask Lares (location: harbor) to take you to the tavern and then follow the way to Onar's farm. There you turn right and walk up to the tower standing on a hill. If you tell the guard Dexter's name he'll let you pass and so you can get to Dexter.
003 The bandits at Lobart's farm

by El Libertador

If you come from Xardas turn right at the Innos shrine. There you will meet Maleth, the sheepherder of Lobart's Farm. Tell him that you were attacked by bandits in the mountains and you know their hiding place. Then you get this quest. Go back to the bandit and tell him that a farmer noticed that sheeps are missing. You receive 50 exp and the bandit runs away (Kill him if you want). Go into the cave and kill the bandits inside. Return to Maleth and tell him what you did. He'll give you wine for another quest and you receive 100 exp.
004 Lobart's work clothes

by El Libertador

While talking to Maleth for the first time tell him that you are on your way into the city and are looking for better clothes. He'll give you some tips and sends you to Lobarth. The farmer tells you that you have to pay for the working clothes and that you can lower the price if you work for him. 1. Harvest the turnip field and bring the turnips to him. 2. Take the turnips to his wife 3. Buy a pan for his wife (you can buy it from Canthar) 4. kill the bandits for Maleth 5. get some wine for Vino. After you completed all quests return to Lobarth. For some gold he'll give you the key to a chest in his house. There you find the work clothes.
005 Harvest the turnip field

by El Libertador

After arriving at the farm, Lobarth will give you work to do. You have to harvest the small turnip field near the barn. Just collect all the turnips and return them to Lobarth. Now you can either have five gold or he'll lower the price for the work clothes.
006 Bring the turnips to Hilda

by El Libertador

After you brought the turnips to Lobarth you have to bring them into the house to his wife Hilda.
007 A pan for Hilda

by El Libertador

After bringing the turnips to Hilda talk to her again and she tells you that she needs a pan. After she has given you the 20 gold pass Lobart and follow the way. At the cross-way you’ll meet the trader Canthar. Buy the pan and bring it to Hilda.
008 Access into the city of Khorinis

by Nachtwanderer

Access into the city (a variant in which you don't have to do anything with Canthar and you save Sarah. If you want to accept the quest "Canthar's favor", speak to him without wearing the farmer's garment)
  • Talk to Maleth about the bandits, Lobart and the access into the city.
  • Pull turnips for Lobart and speak to him after it.
  • Speak to Vino, who wants a bottle of wine.
  • Bring the turnips to Hilda (Note: This succession is important. If you talk to Hilda first, you won't get the task by Vino.)
  • Steal the farmer's garment from the chest inside Lobart's house, wear it and head for the city. Talk to Canthar on the way and don't contradict when he says "How goes the work, peasant?" (You have to reply "I can't complain" in order to save Sarah.)
  • Then go into the city, find Lares in the harbor district and ask him to bring you to the mercenaries. He will escort you to Orlan's tavern.
  • On the way, you will find a frying pan near two molerats.
  • Take the pan to Hilda. (the same day if you don't want to be blamed by her)
  • Kill the bandits in the cave that lies between Xardas' tower and Lobart's farm.
  • Report the death of the bandits to Maleth. You will be rewarded three bottles of wine.
  • Talk to Vino and give him one bottle. After that, speak to Lobart and he will sell you the garment for 30 gold.

Other possibilities to get into the city and to receive additional 500 exp (by Kermit.d):

  • Climb over the city wall
  • Trick the city guard
  • Access the city over the lighthouse (also see here)
  • Jump into the sea somewhere and swim to the harbor.
In any case, if you meet Lothar, the paladin, he tells you that he had not seen you coming through the city gate. So he supposed that you had come through the other gate. Go to Lares in the harbor district. He will wonder how you got into the city, and you get 500 exp. You don't have to pay any fines to Lord Andre. Even not when you join the militia. If you like, you can do all tasks by Lobart before.

009 For a bottle of wine

by El Libertador

First talk to Vino who is working on the fields of Lobart’s farm. He tells you that all he wants from you is a bottle of wine. Either you kill the bandits for Maleth and get 3 bottles as a reward or you simply buy one from Canthar. Give the bottle to Vino and the task is completed.
010 Furs for Bosper

by El Libertador

After arriving in town visit Bosper’s store which is located in the first house on the right hand side. Talk to him and he offers you to become his apprentice. Even if you don’t intend to work for him right now you should bring him the six wolf skins because you need his approval before working for any other master. First you have to learn from Bosper how to skin animals. Afterwards go to his former apprentice Bartok who is standing at the beer stand or at the market. Talk to him and he agrees to go hunting with you for 50 gold coins. Tell him when you are ready to go and then just follow him. Help him to kill the wolves because otherwise he could die. Take the six furs and bring them to Bosper. In order to get 100 exp. you should pretend to sign up with one of the other masters (but you can still become his apprentice).
011 Apprentice in Khorinis

by El Libertador

After speaking to Rupert and Regis, enter the first house on the left side. There you will meet the merchant Matteo, who tells you that you have to become an apprentice with one of the masters to get into the upper quarter. You can sign on as an apprentice with Bosper the bowyer, with Harad the smith or with Constantino the alchemist. But you will need the approval of at least four masters in the lower part of town to start your apprenticeship.
1. Matteo wants you to bring back the money he lent Gritta, who is inside Thorben's house. You can get the 100 gold she owes Matteo by threatening to sell some of her nice clothes. She will then prefer to give you the money. You can also knock her down and simply take the money from her when she lies on the ground. A third possibility is to offer her to pay her debts yourself. She will be very grateful and gives you some wine.
2. Thorben will only give you his approval when you have the blessing of the gods. Talk to Vatras the water mage and Daron the fire mage (at the marketplace), make a donation and be blessed.
3. Bosper asks you to bring him six wolf furs. Wolves can be found in the small wood just outside the south gate. If you don't feel strong enough for the wolves, ask Bartok to accompany you. But don't go too far into the woods (even when you are with Bartok) as there is a shadowbeast in it. You can also kill some wolves on the way from Khorinis to Orlan's tavern.
4. Harad wants you to bring him an orc's weapon. You don't have to kill an orc to get the weapon. A weapon can be found in a cave that lies in the small valley between the way up to the lighthouse and the city wall. Simply leave the city through the east gate and turn immediately to the left. The cave is at the end of the valley, on the right side. You can also get the weapon by luring an orc to the guards at the city gate. The orc nearest to the city is in a cave that you reach when you go out the east gate, take the way to the right and leave the way after some meters to the left. But be careful as the orc can easily kill you by one or two hits with his weapon. If you don't want to enter any caves you can also buy an orc's weapon from Hodges, who is working in the smithy on Onar's farm.
5. Constantino will automatically give you his approval if the other masters have given their approvals. Only if you want to start an apprenticeship with him, you have to pass a test. He gives you a list with some herbs to find. You can find all herbs except king's sorrel in the small valley where you also found the orc's weapon for Harad. To find king's sorrel, ask Zuris the potion vendor at the marketplace where to get this rare herb. Then go to the stone circle on the hill behind Lobart's house. You will find a plant of king's sorrel at the end of the small plateau. When you have completed all five tasks just speak to the master of your choice and you will become his apprentice.
012 Matteo and Gritta

by Noerknhar

In order to get Matteo’s approval use all conversational options available. He says he would help you get into the upper quarter if you bring him the gold Gritta owes him. Go to Thorben’s house and talk with Gritta about her debts. First she refuses to give you the gold but if you threaten her with taking away her dresses she will give you the 100 gold coins. Bring the gold to Matteo and you get his approval too.

013 The blessing of the gods

by Noerknhar

Talk with Thorben who wants you to get the blessing of the gods. Go to Vatras and either donate him gold or answer his questions truthfully to get the first blessing.
For the second one you can either walk quite a long distance and save money or donate Daron an adequate amount of gold.
If you don’t want to spend you money you have to visit the shrine on the way between the tavern and the monastery and to talk with the fire mage Isgaroth.

Then go to Thorben and he will give you his approval.
014 Bosper's bow

by Todesfürst

Talk to Regis who is sitting on a bench in front of Matteo's store and ask him if anything exciting has happened recently. He tells you that someone went into Bosper’s shop in broad daylight and stole a bow. Then talk to Jesper from the thieves' guild who tells you that he has stolen it. You can find the bow in the same chest that Coragon’s silver is in. Bring it back to Bosper and the task is finished.
015 A great challenge

by Orkkrieger

To get the Harad’s approval to either to become his or another master’s apprentice Harad wants you to bring him an orc weapon. You can find an orc when hunting with Bartok or you just look for the orc weapon situated in a cave near the eastern gate. After leaving the city turn to the left and search for the cave near the city wall. The easiest way, however, is to buy an orc weapon from Cipher, one of the mercenaries at Onar's farm. If this seems to difficult for you talk to Harad one more time and he will give you an easier task. He then wants you to kill the bandits behind Akil's farm. The cave should not be too hard to find, here are some pics:
here and here

016 Herbs for Constantino
by Orkkrieger

Constantino wants you to bring him one plant of every plant species he has listed. You should ask Zuris where Constantino is collecting his plants and he will give you some hints. Even if you already know what Zuris would be saying you should talk to him as some of the valuable plants are not appearing until you got this info. After talking to Zuris go out of the eastern gate and turn to the left. You will find each and every plant Constantino has asked for - besides king's sorrel. But it is not hard to find when searching near the stone circle at Lobart’s farm as Zuris has said. Bring everything to Constantino and he will be convinced that you are an expedient apprentice. Some of the plants you brought to Constantino, however, are very valuable. When you have enough money you should buy the king's sorrel, the goblin berry and the dragonroot back. To get further information about the herbs in Khorinis and of cause the locations of the most valuable plants use this map of herbs by Hamster
017 The gold of a merchant

by AMDUSER

by Kermit.d

You will find the bandits behind Akil's farm. These pictures will help you: This one and this one. In the bandit's cave you can find - besides the outlaws you are looking for - a strange fish in one of the chests. There is a note hidden in this fish. Don't forget to pick it up. After having killed the bandits you can proudly return to the city and report your success to Hakon.
019 The Experiment

by El Libertador

After the arrival in Khorinis, one encounters Regis who sits on a bench in front of Matteo's hut during the day. He's telling you of Valentino, a rich moron who lives in the upper quarters. Follow the wall to your left until you can't go any further. Shortly behind the blacksmith Carl is the hut of the alchemist Ignaz. He's asking you to test his new spell "Oblivion". There is a tavern at the temple square of Vatras owned by Coragorn. He's also complaining about Valentino and his habits. At 4 o'clock in the morning, we wait for Valentino behind Bosper's house and beat him down. Afterwards we plunder him (200 gold coins and one important key) and wait until he regained conscious. Then use the oblivion spell on him. Tell Regis about that to get "Valentino's ring" with which we go to Coragorn who's reporting us that Valentino couldn't pay him and that he had to beat him up, upon what we offer him the ring as present. Now just go to Ignaz and report him of the success of his experiment.

Talk to him and he gives you some money and the quest is completed.
021 Bandits in Jack's lighthouse

by Todesfürst

Jack the lighthouse-keeper is sitting on a bench at the harbor next to Lares. As soon as you talk to him, he's explaining his problem to you. There are bandits in his lighthouse. The only thing you've got to do is to kill them and then tell Jack that they've been eliminated. Unfortunately the bandits are quite strong.
Armed: 2*bows, 1*crossbow, swords.
You shouldn't engage them before level 10 or without a adequate weapon.
022 Member of the city guard

by El Libertador

Just become apprentice with one of the masters in the lower part of town (Bosper, Harad or Constantino) and Lord Andre, who is in the barracks, will accept you into the militia. Another possibility to join the militia is finding and wiping out the thieves' guild (which is very difficult in the first chapter).
023 Dragomir's crossbow

by Todesfürst

Dragomir is a hunter who's sitting around near Orlan's tavern. When you talk to him, he's telling you that he lost his crossbow. His crossbow is located at the circle of the sun near the black troll. If you return it to him, you'll not only gain experience but also the money you spend before on the training. You'll also get the money if Dragomir haven't trained you before.
024 The lazy farmer

by El Libertador

After having defeated him you should talk to Till about Bronko, Till's going to offer you some gold pieces if you convince Bronko to work again (you can drive up the price). Now returning to Bronko you should choose to make fun of him and he'll plead you not to beat him up anymore, since he's going to work again. Report this to Till and he'll give you your reward.
025 The Weed Package

by Kermit.d

Cipher tells you that he's missing a weed package. He's suspecting a farmer, Bodo. Bodo says he hasn't got the package, which is right but you can talk him into giving you something to smoke. The package is hidden in the warehouse of the harbour in Khorinis. It's the building next to Garvell. Inside the warehouse you'll have to knock out the guard and take his key. In one of the rooms upstairs you'll find a chest with the package in it. Bring it back to Cipher and you'll get 10 herbs from him.
026 Drive away the Militia

by AMDUSER

028 Jarvis' challenge

by Orkkrieger

Jarvis will only give you his vote when you beat up some of Sylvio's people, Rauol, Fester, Rod, Cifer, Bullco. It's easiest to beat up Fester, Rauol, Rod.
You can kick Fester's ass after cleaning up the field raider's nest, because he won't hold his word.
You can talk directly to Rauol and challenge him to knock him out. Simultaneously Rauol will give you his vote after beating him up and mentioning it to him.
Rod is the last one and quite easy, too. When you ask him if he is going to train you with two-handed sword he says you're to weak and bets with you that you can't carry his sword. For this you'll need 30 strength. Say that you can hold his sword and when he wants it back, don't give it back to him. Because he has only got his fists to fight with he's an easy target. After beating him up just give him his sword back and you'll also get his vote. Tell Jarvis and your quest will be ended after a funny dialogue.
029 Kick Bullco's butt

by Orkkrieger

After having killed the four wolves you can talk to Pepe about Bulco once more! Pepe then wants you to kick Bullco's ass real hard! Bullco on the other hand doesn't want to stir up a talk with you first. Now you should taunt Silvio for a bit, which will result in Bullco attacking you but keep in mind that Bullco is a rather tough enemy.
To kick Bullco's ass is also a part of another quest which you'll get from Jarvis. You have to beat up at least 3 of Silvio's people. His guys are Bulco, Rod, Sentenza, Raoul and Fester. The more of them you beat the more experience you'll gain from Jarvis afterwards.
But you shouldn't challenge Silvio!
After beating three of them, go to Jarvis and get your payment in experience from him!

037 For a fistful of herb

by Kermit.d

To get accepted by the mercenaries you have to gain their respect. You’ll get Cipher’s vote if you get him 10 weed reefers. Either you already carry them around in your inventory (some of the bandits do) or you can knock out Dar. He has got exactly 10 reefers. Don’t have him knocked out by Cipher though, because otherwise he’s not going to vote for you anymore. The third option is to produce the weed reefers yourself. Just use an empty laboratory bottle and a swamp herb at an alchemy desk.

Kill the seekers and take the almanac out of the inventory of the dead Vino. Don't forget to report the bad news to Lobart. The last one on your list is Bromor, the brothel owner of Khorinis.

But don't forget to go to Karras again. Two days after you have given him the almanac he has found out more details about the seekers. He gives you the almanac back and assigns you to bring him some blessed soil. Out of this soil he will make you an amulet which protects you against the mental attacks of the seekers. You should always wear this when talking to a possessed person or a seeker. Otherwise you may become possessed yourself. If this is the case you should talk to Pyrokar. He can help you.

In chapter 4 Engrom (in the cave where you have found Marcos in chapter 2) and Randolph (Akil's farm) are added to Pyrokar's magic list of the possessed persons. Go and get their books.

In chapter 5 it is Sekob (Sekob's farm) and Brutus (castle in the valley of mines) who are possessed.

The quest ends in chapter 6, when you are talking to the necromancer. In the unsacred Halls of Irdorath you can find another almanac of the possessed if you have taken Mario with you. Just give it to either Vatras or Milten.
118 Dragon eggs

by Todesfürst

When you give Bennet the egg of the Rock- or Icedragon, he pays you 300 gold pieces per egg. Then he gives you a map with all caves in Khorinis. When you play as a dragon hunter you already got a quest from Buster and know some of the caves.

120 Two ice giants for Sylvio

by AMDUSER

In the fourth chapter you find Silvio in a small camp in front of the entrance to the ice-region. He asks you to kill the ice golems in front of the entrance. A speed potion or or snapper weed will be very helpful because when you are too slow the golems freeze you with an ice spell and then they begin to hit you with their fists while you are freezed. When you have killed them Silvio comes around.
121 The master of dragons

by AMDUSER

You get this task when you’ve always asked the dragons about everything you could.
Before you can accomplish this one you will have to do some others things first:
123 I need a ship (sea map)
126 No crew, no voyage
127 Who should be my captain?
132 The Halls of Irdorath
In the Halls of Irdorath you’ll finally find the undead dragon. Don’t forget to charge the eye up. You just have to slay the dragon, which shouldn’t be a big problem. After killing the dragon the following quest begins: 134 Back to the ship
122 Ur-Shak

by El Libertador

After you killed Hosh-Pak you should go to the old orc-city. Above Fajeth’s mine you find an old friend called "Ur-Shak". After a short conversation we tell Ur-Shak that his mentor has died and he will go to the orc tents. Later you should go to the place where you killed Hosh Pak. There you find Ur-Shak who breaks his friendship with you.
123 I need a ship

by AMDUSER

After visiting the secret library in chapter 5 and reading the sea map which you found there you’ll receive theis quest.
Of course the best ship for this job is the one belonging to the paladins.
As paladin or mage you just have to talk to Girion, who’s waiting near the ship. Tell him you need the ship and that’s it.
As mercenary first talk to Lee. He’ll send you to the judge to blackmail him and consequently get an authorization for the ship. Go to the harbour and show the authorization to Girion.
124 Shadowbeast horns for Buster

by AMDUSER

If you are a mercenary Buster will give you this mission in the third. Chapter. You have to find as many Shadowbeast horns as possible.
Here you can find a map with all shadowbeasts in this chapter. A few more are in the forest eastside of the fortress in the old valley of mines. You can learn how to remove horns directly from Buster. Bring all horns you get immediately to him because after the fifth chapter has started he don't want them anymore. Here’s a little trick: Knock Buster out and steal the horns you gave him. Then resell them to Buster...
125 Return to the tower

by Todesfürst

If you want Jorgen as your captain you must go to Xardas’ tower. Pyrokar wants you to check out what’s going on there. The tower is full of demons. The easiest way of killing them is to stand in front of an entrance and use a ranged weapon. The demons can’t reach your room.
After cleaning out the tower go back to Pyrokar and then you can take Jorgen, if you want to.

127 Who should be my captain?

by Todesfürst

In the fifth chapter you have to hire a captain. There are three candidates for that position: Torlof, Jack, Jorgen. Torlof is standing in front of Onar's house. He is only willing to sing on if you allow the orcs to enter the castle in the valley of mines (not recommend for mages and paladins). Furthermore he demands 2000 gold coinds.. Jack is in his lighthouse (if you have driven away the bandits). You must find a successor for him (Brian the apprentice of Harad). Jorgen is in the monastery. Pyrokar allows him to join you if kill all demons in Xardas' tower.
128 Rosi's escape

by Todesfürst

In the fifth chapter you will meet Rosi und Till on the way from the tavern to the circle of the sun. If you are a paladin escort them to Khorinis. As a mercenary bring them to Onar's farm. And as a firemage take them to the abbey. Rosi will give you some gold for help.. Furthermore, Rosi can sell you some useful things. Another possibility is to return them to Sekob. (See at 129)
129 Sekob misses his wife

There you find Rosi with Till. When you talk to her she tells you that she needs help: She asks you to bring her to a safe place. You have to promise it. But instead you go straight back to Sekob and tell him that you brought his wife back He will give you 650 gold pieces as reward. Talk to Rosi and she tells you that you are the nastiest thing she ever have seen. From now on, you are no longer able to buy anything from her.

131 I gotta get out of here!

by AMDUSER

Talbin is a huntsman in the valles of mines. You will find him if you cross the bridge straight behind the pass and keep your hero on the right. After some jogging you will find a small path between the rocks. Talbin will tell you in the fourth chapter that his friend Engrom left him although he still owe him a lurker skin. You will find Engrom in front of the cave where you have found Marcos in the second chapter. If you are a paladin or a dragon hunter he will be already dead but as a mage he belongs to another quest. If you are a mage, first kill him. Clear out his inventory and go back to Talbin and give him the lurker skin that Engrom carried with him. After that Talbin will hurry to the pass. Later you will find him at the entrance of the left mine of the valley of mines. There he is going to ask you if you could help him to get out of the valley. He is scared, that's why he doesn't want to go through the old mine. So kill all of the orcs that guard the pass. Now go back to the valley of mines. When you return to Khorinis, Talbin will be standing in front of the entrance to the pass and give you either a lump of ore or a blank runestone.
132 The halls of Irdorath

by AMDUSER

Finally it's time for the big showdown.
First go ship's own alchemist's bench and recharge the Eye of Innos. If you don't have laboratory flask with you, you can find a few of them in the hold of the ship. Milten and Vatras also sell a few to you assuming you have taken them with you.
Leave the ship and kill everything in your way. It's impossible to get lost on this island. Simply follow the only way.
Finally you will arrive at a cave. Inside there are two way: one to the left and one to the right. First take the left way. Kill all orc warriors and the orc colonel. The colonel has a key and a ring in his inventory. Go back and kill the cave troll who is blocking the right way. Go through the opening behind the troll. You are now in a smaller cave with three doors. The key of the colonel opens these doors. First take the right door. In this room you'll fit a whole bunch of potions. You probably should use a torch and the holy light rune to see better. Now pick the door in the middle and take everything you can find. Now it's time to visit the left room where you will find the traitor Pedro. You probably accepted Serpentes' unofficial task to kill him. Do that if you want unless you have Vatras on board. The watermage will refuse to trade with you if you kill Pedro. However, killing Pedro or taking him to the ship will give you the same amount of experience. Talk to Milten if he's on the ship. And give the colonel's ring to Girion. Now return to the room the orc colonel was in. There are two torches mounted to the walls. First stand in fron of the left one and use it, then do the same with the right one. Don't despair if it doesn't work right away. You may have to try it several times from different positions.
If you finally are able to activate both torches, a secret doorway will open. Follow the secret passage but be attention! There is a hidden seeker waiting for you behind the next corner. Kill him and continue your path. You will meet a lot of lizard people in a huge cavern. Using a ranged weapon is recommend to find out where exactly the lizard people are. You will find small pits full of dragon eggs. Take all of them with you. Talk to the fire dragon, kill and plunder him. Now proceed to a huge gap. The bridge is retracted. Use a bow or crossbow to shoot at the switches in the two towers. Normally one shot per switch is enough.
Wait till the bridge is fully extended, then cross it. On the other side, another seeker is waiting for you behind the left tower.
Now you'll have to kill a lot of skeletons and seekers. Then enter the temple. On the right you see a doorway. To the left is a locked door. In the right room, some skeletons and a shadowlord are waiting. The lord has the key to the locked door. Take everything from the locked room and read the recipe that is lying on the table. You also find an alchemist's bench that you can use to recharge the Eye Of Innos. You should also try out the new recipe you just found. The created potion is extremely powerful.
Now return to the room of the shadowlord. There is a door to the left with another corridor behind it. Beware, strong enemies ahead! Walk through the opening at the end of the next room.
Now comes the most difficult puzzle on Irdorath.
The switch-riddle.
You are stading in a huge hall. On the other side, you see a huge gate with a face on it. In the middle of the left and right wall are locked doors. Furthermore there are four hallways.
All locations are given relative to the following position:
The hero is standing in the middle of the room and faces the huge gate
Now the solution for the puzzle:
First enter the hallway that leads down right. There you will find a few orcs. When you approach the fence, the master of the keys will appear. Kill and plunder him. Now go back to the main hall. Unlock the door to the right and enter the room behind. Inside there are two switch: One on the right wall, the other one on the left wall. Activate both. The order does not matter.
Now go to the top right room. Kill everything and follow the way. At the end follow the switches in this order:
Middle - Left - Right
A pedestal will appear in the middle of the room. Use it.
Go back to the room with the two switches. Activate both switch again, then go to the down right room. There is a switch that you have to use before the other two appear. Now activate the switches in this order:
Left - Middle - Right
Again, activate the appearing pedestal.
Do the same thing for the left side of the main hall. Only the combinations are different:
Top left:
Middle - Right - Left
Down left:
Only one switch here.
Don't forget to activate the pedestals..
When you are done, return the main hall. Four switches has appeared. Use all them in any order and a fifth one will appear. Use it and the huge gate will finally open.
You will enter a huge hall with a lot of pillars in it. There are also several seekers and one black mage in it. If you a mage, equip the soul summoning amulet before talking to the black mage.
If you are a paladin or dragon hunter, it is not recommend to address the black mage.
In any case, kill and plunder the mage. You will find a written note on him that you have to read.
Now search all rooms. In the corner of one room, you will find a chest which contains the Eye of Power. Face the gate and hit the action key. The gate will open..
Heal yourself completely and prepare yourself for the last battle of
Gothic II.
I only have one last tip for you: Don't approach the iron bars in the walls of the final chamber.
133 No crew, no voyage

by AMDUSER

This isn't really a quest. Simply talk to everyone you took aboard the ship. Afterwards an entry will occur in your journal, listing who will trade with you, teach you or help you.
134 Back to the ship

by Kermit.d

After you have killed the undead dragon, yoz have to go back to your ship. On your way back you will meet most members of your crew. Talk to them and they will return to your ship as well. Back on your ship, you can give the ring of the orcish warlord to Girion (if you've chosen him to help you in Irdorath) and you can also give Mario's almanac to Vatras (if you have chosen him as well). Now your last step should be to tell your captain that you are ready to leave the island.
135 Get into the upper quarter

by El Libertador

After arriving at the city of Khorinis you get this quest from the merchant Rupert near the city gates. To complete this quest, you simply have to get access to the upper quarter, either by
1. becoming an apprentice in Khorinis
2. joining the militia
3. joining the mercenaries at Onar's farm
4. joining the convent of the Fire Mages
After you got accepted by one of these groups, talk to the guards at the upper quarters' gate and to Lothar.
136 Moonshine

by AMDUSER

Go to Akil's farm and talk to two brothers. Keep coming and going between them and tell them what they think about each other. After some time there will be a little fight between them. Ehnim has to win this fight because otherwise one of the brothers is going to die. Go and talk to Ehnim in chapter 3. He will ask you to find the "hidden still" of Vino. To open the old rusty bars Ehnim gives you some molerat's grease. You might also find some grease on the floor of the hold of the ship of the paladins. After your trip to the Vino's still you can get some exp if you talk to Vino.
137 The forbidden pasture

by Nachtwanderer

Bengar the farmer doesn't allow Balthasar the shepherd to take his sheep to his land. To help Balthasar you have to solve the quest "Drive away the militia" which you get if you are guildless or a mercenary and if you have talked to Torlof. After you have driven those militias away you should talk to Torlof again and tell him what happened. Right after that talk to Bengar again and demand that he allows Balthasar to bring his sheep on Bengar's pasture. The only thing left is a small conversation with Balthasar and the quest is done.
Member of the thieves' guild

by AMDUSER

To become a member of this guild, these quests

017 The gold of a merchant (Jora)
018 Bandit raids (Hakon)
031 A brazen thief (Jora)
032 Baltram'shipment (Baltram)
067 The false messenger (Nagur)
070 Constantino's ring (Cassia)

have to be done.

If you joined the thieves' guild the following quests can be solved by you:

014 Bosper's bow (Bosper)
071 The blood chalices (Cassia)
098 sextant (Ramirez)

There is an unofficial quest from Lord Andre to find the thieves' guild and to kill its main members. Therefore you just need to blow the whistle on one of these three outlaws during one of these quests

018 Bandit raids (Hakon)
031 A brazen thief (Jora)
067 The false messenger (Nagur)

Of course, if you want you can also blow the whistle on all of them of course..

Kardif the landlord will send you to the path behind the Halvor's store where you have to fight against Attila. In his inventory (you have to kill him, there is no other way!) you will find a key. However, if you have solved all three quests and didn't talk to Lord Andre, Attila will just give you the key.

Jump over the quay wall at the haven and keep your hero swimming on the right side. After a while you will find a door on the right side. The key that you got from Attila fits into that one and you can enter the canalization. After some fights against rats, you will find the members of the thieves' guild. Then talk to Cassia.

Solve the quest 070 Constantino's ring (Cassia) if you want to become a member of the thieves' guild. Of course, if you do not want to join this guild and just want to try to kill them, you don't have to do this quest.

After you killed the leaders of the thieves' guild, talk to Lord Andre.

Here is a map of the canalization.

p.s.:
It doesn't matter which main guild you joined. Everyone, even mages or paladins, are able to join the thieves' guild..
Member of the City Guard

by Kermit.d

To join the militia, you first have to get a respected citizen of Khorinis.

Becoming a citizen can be achieved by starting to work for one of the three master craftsman, who are

Bosper the bowmaker
Harad the blacksmith
and Constantino the alchemist

Every job has it's pros and cons. Bosper teaches you how to skin animals and buys furs for a good price, Harad teaches you how to forge your own swords and buys these self-made swords for their real value. Constantino teaches you how to make potions and buys rare herbs for their real price. It is recommended to pick either Bosper or Harad, since you can learn alchemy skills elsewhere. and need the herbs later in the game to brew attribute-boosting potions. There is only a limited number of herbs and furs (from animals) available in the game. Steel can be bought from merchants, preferably other smiths, but crafting a sword takes it's time.
To be accepted as apprentice you need the approval of at least four of the five master craftsmen. Getting an approval by all of them is recommended though, as you get experience for every consent. Here's a list of all quests needed for your acceptance:

010 Furs for Bosper (Bosper) 0 Exp
011 Apprentice in Khorinis (e.g. Matteo) 700 Exp
012 Matteo & Gritta (Matteo) 100 Exp
013 Blessing of the Gods (Thorben) 150 Exp
015 A Great Challenge (Harad) 200 Exp
016 Herbs for Constantino (Constantino) 200 Exp

You have to carry out quest 016 only if you want to become Constantino's apprentice. He will give you his approval by just asking him for it. If you then became a citizen, you can go directly to the upper quarters or first check on Lord Andre to join the militia, if that is your wish.

022 Member of the City Guard (Andre) 400 Exp

You should take a look at this map containing the locations of all important persons.
059 Member of the Mercenaries

by Kermit.d

It takes quite a time to join the mercenaries and you have to gain some levels beforehand to gain the respect of the mercenaries. First go to Onar's farm. Lares can take you there. (Addon note: If you haven't accompanied Lares to the excavation site and the dark forest yet, don't go to Onar's farm with him or he will NOT accompany you anymore!). To get to Onar's farm you have to leave through the city gate near the barracks, then head to the right, take the path past Akil's farm to the tavern. From the tavern head to the left in the direction of the small lake. At a small cottage you'll meet Buster. If you beat him up he'll vote for you. In addition to that he tells you to pay Sentenza the 50 gold coins he demands. You better do so, thereby also gaining Sentenza's vote. Near Sentenza you see a mercenary called Fester training with his weapon. He'll tell you that he has problems with a pack of field raiders. Help him kill the field raiders (you have to kill at least one yourself) and beat him up afterwards to get his vote. At the farm you'll get these quests:

059 Member of the Mercenaries (Lee or Torlof) 400 Exp

Torlof then gives you these quests:

058 Respect (Lee or Torlof)
026 Drive Away the Militia (Torlof) 200 Exp
061 Collect the Rent (Torlof) 100 Exp

You can choose between 026 and 061 for the time being and do the other quest when you got accepted. By accomplishing the Torlof's quest you also get the votes of all nameless mercenaries. Mercenaries you can get to vote for you are:

Buster: Beat him up
Cipher: 037 For a Fistful of Herb (Cipher) 100 Exp
Cord: 038 A Good Fighter (Cord) 100 Exp
Fester: Beat him up after killing the field raiders
Jarvis: 028 Jarvis' Challenge (Jarvis) 75 Exp
Raoul: By beating him up
Rod: 035 Rod's Sword (Rod) 125 (100+ 25) Exp
Sentenza: Give him 50 gold coins
Torlof: Pass his test
Wolf: Just talk to him

Now you should have enough mercenaries voting for you to get accepted. Just talk to Torlof and Lee again and negotiate with Onar about your pay.
